Start this out good....Little Miss Poop Princess :) Yes, Adelyn learned how to take her dress, bloomers, and DIAPER off...then decided to poop and play with it for an hour (during nap time). Come to find....poop smeared EVERYWHERE...legs COVERED...needless to say, my sister and I got a great laugh out of it AND this is the only time it has happened...knock on wood :) Love this little girl to pieces!

What do ya know.....3 months have already passed since I have updated this beauty...not like I have much to keep me busy :) As for our HEALTHY, STRONG, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, ADORABLE, LOVING, PRECIOUS......babes, they are doing so great! Axton is walking for the most part...likes to crawl here and there...but boy oh boy is he ready to go! Adelyn is right behind him...learning quick :) They are chattering jibberish and saying a few words...Ma Ma, Da Da, Baby, Num Num, Ba Ba, Hi, and repeat other words here and there. So crazzzzy how fast they learn! We are officially down to ONE nap a day...nice long 3 hours plus :) Keeps our mornings open for playdates and outdoor walks...I might add a little jogging in there...we try :)

The babes are also BOTTLE free....yippeeeeee! Sippy cup PROS!!! Eating what we eat....as Mr. Axton is quite the picky lil man...doesn't look like it, but he is! Miss Adelyn will eat sardines if I gave them to her...but I wouldn't dare!

We just had the FUN 15 month check-up that included SHOTS....breaks my heart :( But it is worth keeping our babes healthy! So the stats......

Still seems like Axton is about 10 lbs heavier....but he is just a solid lil man! When we are in public...people find it hard to believe that they are TWINS...due to how big he is :)

I never realized how fast life goes until I got the opportunity to have my own children. It makes you stop and take in every moment possible. I told my mom...I can't imagine my babies being 26 years old...yikes! As for now...I am LOVING every second of being a Mommy and being able to stay at home and raise these little dolls :) I ask for Gods help and guidance as Grant and I both raise our children. You always pray that every decision you make is the best, as least we always have the best intention at heart. We are so thankful for Gods blessings. We pray that He continues to keep the babes healthy and growing strong.

Is it really possible that our babies are ALREADY....ONE?!?!? This entire year has flown by SO fast...I just can't quite believe it. For having 2 babes at once and being our first experience....WOW, did God bless us with not one, but TWO amazing, well-behaved, loving, perfect, healthy and growing kiddo's :) We celebrated their 1 st Birthday with our immediate family, which was so wonderful! They LOVED the confetti icing and cake....I think they might have a sweet tooth like mommy!

They are both making lots of chatter...Da Da (favorite), Ma Ma (once and a while) Num Num (HUNGRY). They both wave Hi and Bye Bye....Love to CLAP their hands and play peek-a-boo while covering one eye (Super Cute)!!! They are walking around everything...climbing up the stairs (don't worry, they are supervised), eating whatever we eat and sleeping like ROCK STARS...that is 12-13 hours and in bed by 7 or 7:30. It is so nice to have time for Grant and I before the night is over :)

Adelyn is quite outgoing...will wave at every person we walk bye...where it takes Axton a few minutes to figure out if he is going to cry or not :) They are both SO ticklish and their laugh is rather contagious. There are no sounds better than hearing your babes laugh, especially when they are playing together :)

At their 12 month check-up, Dr. Lund was more than happy with their growth. The following are the stats:

As you can see....Axton has a solid 5 lbs on Adelyn...although it feels like 10 lbs. He is so solid and totally built like a boy. I have high thoughts that he WILL be bigger than his daddy :) As for Adelyn, she is as light as a feather and so petite :)

Now at 13 Months, they are both taking about 4-6 steps then diving into our arms. What an amazing sight to see. God certainly has delivered us two miracles who have brought SO much joy, love and laughter into our lives and many others. I can't thank Him enough for His never-ending blessings and I pray for His continued strength in every aspect of Adelyn and Axton's life.

Modeling Mommy's TuTu she made for me!

Hello All! How is it possible that my babies are going to be ONE YEAR OLD in less than 2 months?!? It seems as if it was yesterday that we brought home these tiny little blessings that were wearing preemie outfits. Now we are 10 months into their amazing life and Axton is wearing 12-18 month clothing...he is 21 lbs 14 oz and 30 inches long! Adelyn is in 12 month clothing too and weighs 17 lbs 11 oz and she is 28 1/2 inches long. As you can see little brother is going to be BIG brother :) God has continued to bless both in health and strength....thank you Lord!

Axton is crawling on all fours where Adelyn has the army crawl down to perfection. I think she might be a little quicker than Axton...too funny! Axton has been pulling himself up on several things...I think he might be walking within the next month...yikes, my babies can't possibly be ready to walk?!? They are both making lots of noises and their personalities are shining and completely different! Adelyn is going to be little Miss Outburst/Personality/Boss....where Axton is going to be our Laid Back little man :) I love how they are each their own little person!

As for TEETH....Axton has a mouth full...4 teeth on top and bottom. Yes that is 8 teeth total! Adelyn has 2 bottom and her top 2 are just busting through. They are picking up little snacks and feeding themselves. Apple juice is a favorite in the sippy cup :)

Overall....these 2 PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, AMAZING, BLESSINGS are growing so fast and have brought so much JOY into our lives and many others. I thank each one of you for the thoughts and prayers from the very beginning and your continued support.

So it's been quite a while...SORRY!

I just can't quite grasp the fact that time flies!!! Our babies are approaching 8 months this week and it is rather breath-taking! I must say that I have enjoyed every moment and stage of watching Adelyn and Axton grow. They are at such a fun stage right now...laughing, smiling, following every move you make and just looking into your eyes! They are grabbing at our faces with their precious soft little hands...wow, does this make me want them to stay the way they are forever :) Grant is LOVING this stage...they are so responsive to us and know who mommy and daddy are :)

We celebrated their 1st Christmas, which was so much fun! They were kind of young yet to know how to open presents, but mommy and daddy opened them....and there were a lot of them. They got spoiled....lots of toys, clothes, a motorized John Deere tractor, an electric train that they can sit on....yes, lots of fun stuff :)

They are both rolling over and scooting around like crazy! When we go to get them up from their naps, they are on their tummies and peeking over the side of their cribs...so ADORABLE! It will be a matter of days before they are crawling all over the place and really giving mommy a workout :)

Axton has 3 teeth on the bottom that have popped through and Adelyn just now has 1 that has cut through too :) We just started sippy cups yesterday...Axton is a PRO and Adelyn like to play with it :) It is soooo much fun to see the comparisons among both of them...love love love it! Axton will also eat ANY food while Adelyn likes to blow bubbles with the food she doesn't care for. Their personalities shine all the time. Axton is going to be our laid back one and Adelyn is going to be little Miss On the Go and chattering all the time. Just wait...watch them end up being total opposites later :) They are both ticklish and love to make loud outbursts. The jumper has been such a fun and great play toy....they will jump forever and get so excited! They are such great babies....always happy and smiling! We could not have been blessed with 2 better babies. God truly knew that we could handle 2 at once and he certainly gave us 2 little miracles that are the most precious, loving, happy, good eating, great sleeping, healthy, adorable babes :)

4 Months Old

Wow, does time really fly or what?!? Our beautiful babies are now 4 and a half months old! They are absolutely ADORABLE and most important as healthy as can be :) Axton is weighing 19 lbs and measuring 26 inches and Adelyn is 16.5 lbs and measuring 25 inches. We have had NO problems gaining weight, as I am still ONLY nursing these babes! I am soooo thrilled that I have been able to supply enough for the both of them, as it is so healthy. They eat at the same time every time and are taking naps in the morning and afternoon. Sometimes they take turns napping, which is fine. I get some one on one time with them :)

Axton first rolled over at 7 weeks old...yes you heard that correct! Adelyn just rolled over at 3.5 months. Now she is rolling over all the time. Axton has yet to roll over since then....I think he might be a little heavy now, hehe! We just put a jumper together and Axton is having a great time jumping. He gets himself going so fast, almost out of control...too funny! Adelyn needs to grow another inch and she will be set, not too crazy about the jumper.

We have been SUPER blessed with these little Kiddo's sleeping. Ever since 2 months old, they started sleeping 7-8 hours. We would get random 9-10 hours here and there. At about 3.5 months they started sleeping more 9-11 hours. They are doing AMAZING and it gives Grant and I time together at night since we put them to bed between 8-9. I guess I could go on bragging about them forever...haha, they are truly great babies!

It is hard to believe that our babies are coming upon 5 months. I just looked back through all my pictures since they have been born...unreal how fast they grow! I have LOVED every stage of being a mommy. It is really getting exciting to see them smile, laugh and coo at both Grant and I. This is the stage Grant has been looking forward to. They can respond and they know who we are. How amazing little infants are and how quickly they learn. God has created two miracles and has blessed us with these innocent little lives that we are so excited to raise and teach as best as we can.

I thank God everyday for his blessings and how amazing he is to us. I pray that he continues to keep our children healthy and help them to grow stronger and stronger everyday. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts about us. I WILL update this baby more often. Enjoy the pictures and much love is sent your way :)

BABIES

Wow, what an AMAZING experience for both Grant and myself. God most certainly blessed us with 2 healthy miracles and we could not be more thankful for all the thoughts and prayers that were sent to us.

The journey started when both Grant and I were laying in bed awake at 2 am Friday June 19th due to a horrible thunderstorm that was slamming Holland. As I just fell back a sleep around 3 am there was a huge bolt of lightening and quite the bang of thunder that jolted me. I must say that is when my water broke...at least that's what I thought it must have been! It seemed like a balloon popped or I just received a swift kick from one of the little ones :) Sure enough I stood up and went to the bathroom to go potty...there was still a trickle after done. I told Grant, I think my water broke...sure enough we were grabbing bags and on our way to the hospital. I wasn't really having any contractions yet. Grant was really nervous driving a little fast...the rain was so heavy and huge puddles were on the road. I told him to slow down, I am just fine :)

We got to the hospital and up to OB we went. The nurse checked me and I was 5 cm and she could feel the head. We were heading in the right direction! By 5:15 am I got an epidural and it was smooth sailing from there on. The timing was perfect as the contractions were starting to get a little uncomfortable. Around 10:30 am the nurse checked me again because I was feeling a little more pressure. Sure enough I was 9 cm!!!! By 1:15 pm we were pushing and both of my bundles of joy arrived by 3:00 pm.

Adelyn entered the world screaming and letting us know that she arrived at 2:43 pm. It was the most amazing moment of my life. There is nothing that explains the feeling when you hear your own child automatically start breathing and their entire body kicks in to start working on its own. Grant was so great the whole time while pushing. He was helping count with the nurse as I was pushing. I must say we were laughing about 99% of the time. The entire staff that assisted the Doc made the whole process so comfortable and fun! After Adelyn arrived, they worked on shifting Axton around to come heads first. Needless to say after about 10 minutes of trying, he bounced back down and Doc had to start for a breech extraction. He had to break his water then got him by the feet and out my little man came and on my chest he sat. What a moment that I will never forget. The tears of joy and amazement that both of my babies have joined our lives in great health.

Axton had to lay in the incubator for about 36 hours so that his body temperature stayed up. Adelyn ended up having to lay on a billy blanket when we got home due to a little jaundice. Both babes lost a little weight, but made great strides a week and a half later. Here are the birth stats:

I loved every second of delivery and would do it all over in a heartbeat. God creates miracles and I must say that being a mother is the most amazing gift that God can give. The love that I have for both of my babies is untouchable. I can't kiss and stare at them enough :) It was a special weekend for delivery as Grant got to celebrate his first Father's Day with 2 bundles of joy!

Thank you Lord for all your blessings and I continue to pray that you be by our sides as we make decisions in raising our children. Be with Grant and I to continue growing our relationship stronger and stronger with your word.

36 WONDERFUL Weeks

Sooo this is a little past due! I wanted to back date on how everything went :) I have to start out by thanking God for the amazing milestone we made it with the Twins. I am so thankful for all the thoughts and prayers that made this possible. At my 36 week appt, I was still about 2-3 cm and thinned about 80%. We were starting to make a little progress...yippeee! We were scheduled to see the Doc at 37 weeks unless I went into labor on my own. He said if I make it to 37 weeks, they would talk about inducing me....hope for natural labor :) Here is the last pic of my belly at 36 weeks. Grant and I had a little "last" date before the babes arrived.
